i said,
“i want to learn to trust you,
but i don’t know how.”
and you said,
“then don’t. learn to trust you.
then see what your heart has to say about me,
and follow that.”

Originally published on November 18, 2022, ‘i said, “i want to learn to trust you, but i don’t know how.”‘, the butterflies rising poem was inspired from a real conversation she had with an ex boyfriend, and after sharing it on social media platforms, she found so many people were connecting with it that she decided to add the piece into her poetry book ‘she’s flowers and fire’. butterflies rising and this boyfriend are not longer in each other’s lives, so she actually wrote him a handwritten letter to get his permission to publish this, and he wrote he back a handwritten letter as well. And while they both know they are not meant to be in each other’s lives again, the letters were beautiful, and this piece of guidance from him will always be a beautiful gift he gave her.
